Flying across the world for four days of a game fair was well worth the experience.
Connected with some great people, learned about some cool companies, and played a ton of fun games.
Highlights:
- Cool games: Planet, 8Bit Box, Sorcerer, Trade on the Tigris, Luxor
- Meeting designers Reiner Knizia and Uwe Rosenberg
- Catching up with folks I met at Gen Con
- Meeting new publishers/companies, like BackerKit (from San Francisco) and Helvetiq (from Europe)
Unfortunately, playtesting wasn’t quite a focus of the fair (for example: there wasn’t a Protospiel). Nonetheless, it was a great experience to attend.
An attempt at playtesting
Such an honor to meet such great designers!
